Training Facility

Lismullin Hospitality Services Centre is a private, not-for-profit venture, which is at the hub of the Lismullin complex. It services all the accommodation and catering needs of the two houses of the Conference Centre, enabling them to maintain the highest standards in their events.

The ethos of Lismullin is based on the inspirational vision of St Josemaria, Founder of Opus Dei. It focuses on excellence in work and service, appreciation of the irreplaceable value of each member of staff and the dignity of every person who works, trains or is a guest in the complex.

Lismullin Hospitality Services Centre is designed to function as a training facility for the hospitality and catering industry and is registered with FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council) to offer programmes leading to FETAC Awards in the National Framework of Qualifications.

One of the Centre's main strengths in the area of training is the emphasis placed on the practical implementation of theory, which ensures that graduates of Lismullin Hospitality Services Centre, become competent professionals. Students have many opportunities to be involved in hosting events in the adjacent Conference Centres, which gives them a great variety of experience.
