Boinn Youth Group

This Youth group has its seat in LHSC. The HQ of all the youth activities is in the Hospitality Centre. Through the Youth Group, we aim:

To provide a varied activity-based programme of informal education that will foster and develop skills, talents and values in both members and youth workers, enabling them to become young people of the future.
To foster a family atmosphere among participants to help young people develop their self-confidence and acquire an attitude of respect, understanding and service towards others. This positive peer culture is created through real friendship among the members themselves, with the volunteers and leaders, and among the leaders and parents.

Boinn Youth Group is a project of Fiuntas Centres Limited registered charity CHY12346. All the activities of Boinn Youth Group are carried out according to the ethos of Fiuntas Centres Limited.

Summer social projects abroad and other activities for Senior Secondary and Third Level students

A social work project is organised on a yearly basis to heighten social awareness in the students. The venues for these projects have been Germany, Slovakia and locally. For the past few summers we have also done the locally based project in the Navan area, helping in the Third Age Foundation in Summerhill. Among the tasks undertaken were caring for the elderly, renovating a school in a socially deprived area and teaching English to non-nationals.
