Summer Programme
Our Summer Work Programme has been busy for everyone but also lots of activities outside of the working day.
Our Social Work has been continuing each week and most of the girls have been regularly visiting Woodlands House Nursing Home in nearby Navan and St Joseph’s in Trim where they were able to help the residents by doing small jobs, chatting to them, reading to those who wished and having some musical events. All the girls felt they benefited too as it was a way of giving back something to the community.
Mary Ryan, one of the chefs at Lismullin has been giving cookery classes in her spare time also to the young staff and all were delighted to pick up any new ideas and tips to enhance their culinary skills. Lots of music and dance gatherings have been taking place in the common room.
Mary Monica and Tereza headed to the Hill of Tara to see the Heritage Centre.
Maro and Roisin are just back from their trip to the World Youth Day in Madrid - we are looking forward to hearing all about this. More news on WYD later.
Watch out for Lismullin Hospitality Services Centre stand at the Royal Meath Show on Sunday 4th September in the Porch Fields in Trim, Co Meath.
